A rising star in Bollywood, Sushant Singh Rajput, has been found dead in his apartment in Mumbai. The 34-year-old is believed to have taken his own life, Mumbai police said. Popular for his acting in both TV and film, Rajput is perhaps best known for MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, where he played the legendary cricketer. Many have been paying tributes to Rajput, including Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who called him "a bright young actor gone too soon". Rajput's death comes just days after that of his former manager. Born in the eastern state of Bihar, Rajput dropped out of a university course in engineering to pursue a career in acting and dance. His Bollywood breakthrough came in the 2013 film Kai Po Che, which won acclaim at the Berlin film festival. The actor's last film was Chhichhore, which was released last year. Sushant Singh Rajput passes away at 34, no suicide note recovered from his Mumbai flat Sushant Singh had put up a moving post when his former manager Disha Salian was found dead a few days ago. "It's such devastating news," he wrote on Instagram. Bollywood lost yet another actor as  Sushant Singh Rajput  committed suicide at his residence in Mumbai. While the industry is still reeling with the passing away of  Irrfan Khan  and  Rishi Kapoor , Bollywood has to now deal with yet another loss. Sushant was 34 years old and was much loved for his performances on the small screen as well as in movies. According to ANI, Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide at his Bandra residence by hanging himself on Sunday, Additional Commissioner of Police Dr Manoj Sharma confirmed. "Sushant Singh Rajput has committed suicide, Mumbai Police is investigating. Police has not found any note yet," said DCP Pranay Ashok, spokesperson Mumbai Police. More details are awaited.
